Chocolate Brownie Recipe
Ingredients:
250g butter
½ cup cocoa powder
1½ cups white sugar
4 eggs
1 cup plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
Instructions:
Melt butter in a saucepan large enough to mix all the ingredients. Mix in cocoa.
Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Add eggs and beat well using a wooden spoon.
Sift flour and baking powder into the mixture. Add vanilla essence and mix to combine.
Pour into a greased 20 x 30cm sponge roll tin. Bake at 180°C (or 160° fan forced) for 25 to 30 minutes or until brownie springs back when lightly touched.
Cut into bars while still warm. Once cold, ice with chocolate icing or sprinkle with icing sugar if desired.
