Drawing Competition Idea

A great way to get the kids excited and involved in fete preparations is to have a drawing competition.
You can incorporate their drawings in the fete promotional posters to be put up around your school and in the local community.
Jindalee State School’s P&C ran a drawing competition with three divisions: Prep, Yrs 1-3 & Yrs 4-7.
There were three people to judge the competition, two teachers and a local artist from AMF Illustrations. A winner from each category was selected and highly commended awards were also chosen. The children received awards and prizes at the school assembly which made them very proud and excited.
A P&C member, who is a graphic designer, then scanned in the drawings and created fete posters around them.
