Father’s Day already?!? But didn’t we just do Mother’s Day??? Well, yes we did, but in the world of fundraising, one of the keys to success is being organised. If you’re on the mailing list of the bigger players in the Mother’s Day/Father’s Day stall world, you may have already received this year’s Father’s Day Stall catalogues.
This article has been around for a while, but we have updated it with fresh suggestions recently made in our Facebook group: Fundraising Whisperer VIPs.
Our Facebook community has once again offered some fantastic suggestions on additional gift ideas for your Father’s Day stall. Planning for a successful Father's Day stall can be both exciting and challenging. Here is a compilation of creative and popular ideas:
One of the easiest and most popular items is a block of Cadbury's chocolate wrapped in a custom-printed "Happy Father’s Day" label. This simple idea is cost-effective, especially when the chocolate bars are purchased on sale, and can be sold for around $5.
Stubby holders labeled with phrases like "Super Dad," accompanied by a can of soft drink, are another hit. These can also be sold for approximately $5.
Fishing lures have been highlighted as a massive hit. These practical items cater to dads who enjoy fishing and make a thoughtful gift.
Car kits containing a sponge, glass cloth, and air freshener are popular, especially when sourced from stores like Kmart. Adding a few pick-and-mix items can enhance their appeal to kids.
Items in football team colours tend to sell well, appealing to sports-loving dads.
These socks are another popular item, combining practicality with fun designs. They feature on our website, you can find them here.
Frames from IKEA, costing about $1 each, can be personalised with printed phrases. Adding personal touches like whiteboard markers allows kids to write and change messages for their dads, making these frames a unique gift sold for around $4.
A pack of microwave popcorn with a bag of special treats and "movie night with dad" vouchers has been a popular choice. These can be presented in a popcorn cup or a box, costing about $2.50 to assemble and sold for $4.
Jars filled with assorted items like mixed nuts, labeled creatively as "Nuts About You," or jars with cake, biscuit, or pancake mix, are also great sellers. These items can be assembled with simple, budget-friendly ingredients and customised labels.
Homemade BBQ rubs packaged in small glass jars have sold well. These can be made using a simple recipe and add a personal touch to the stall.
Selling jerky or similar items can be successful if packaged appealingly. Bright and attractive packaging tends to draw more attention and increase sales.
Delicious homemade treats.
Including items like golf balls, tees, and a day pass for a game of golf.
Fun and practical for fishing enthusiast dads.
Accessories can be fun and valued by fathers and father-figures everywhere.
Creating experiences like a DIY photo booth or a breakfast event can add a special touch to the celebrations.
Including a raffle with a significant prize can boost excitement and participation.
Jars from stores like Kmart, filled with lollies and labeled as "dad's lolly stash," are simple yet popular. These jars are cost-effective and easy to assemble.
Hot chocolate mixes with baby marshmallows attached are another hit. These can be presented in jars or sachets with custom labels, providing a cozy and thoughtful gift option.
Boxed assortments of chocolates, popcorn, and pretzels.
A classic favourite, these mugs are practical and delightful.
Homemade food items add a personal and gourmet touch.
These are great for dads and special blokes who are always on the go.
Customised books with various vouchers for activities or chores.
Low-maintenance plants that make thoughtful gifts.
Whatever you choose to do, keep your prices reasonable to appeal to the widest audience. After all, even though this will be a fundraiser, it’s not so much about how much money you make, but the enjoyment that the kids (and the Dads) will get out of it. These ideas ensure a diverse product range and engage the kids in the joy of giving, making Father’s Day special for everyone involved.
