Fruit and Nut Slice Recipe
Ingredients:

- 125g butter
- 15ml golden syrup
- 1¼ cups plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- Icing sugar
Instructions:
- Melt butter and golden syrup in a saucepan large enough to mix all the ingredients.
- Remove from heat. Sift flour and baking powder into the saucepan.
- Stir in coconut, raisins, walnuts and sugar. Lightly beat egg.
- Add to saucepan mixing until well combined. Press into a greased 20 x 30cm sponge roll tin.
- Bake at 180°C (or 160° fan forced) for 20 minutes or until golden.
- Once cold, dust with sifted icing sugar. Cut into squares.
