Shortbread Recipe

Shortbread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250g butter
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup cornflour
  • 1 cup icing sugar

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan large enough to mix all the ingredients. Remove from heat.
  2. Sift flour, cornflour and icing sugar into the saucepan. Mix well with a wooden spoon.
  3. Knead the dough for 1 minute or until well combined. Roll out to 1.5cm thickness and cut into shapes.
  4. Place on lightly greased oven trays. Prick with a fork.
  5. Bake at 150°C (or 130° fan forced) for 30 minutes or until lightly golden.
